Madonna, Blondie, Peter Gabriel, Bob Geldof, Yoko Ono, Susan Sarandon and Sting will be joining us on February 5th at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn!
These six artists have lent their fame to the cause of human rights for decades and join a new generation of artist-activists, including Imagine Dragons, following their stellar Grammy performance.
Sting, Peter Gabriel and Bob Geldof first appeared on Amnesty’s behalf in the 1980s. They will be joining a new generation represented by Imagine Dragons, The Flaming Lips, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Tegan and Sara, The Fray, Cold War Kids, Colbie Caillat and Cake.
Pussy Riot members Maria Alekhina and Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, recently freed from prison in Russia for performing a protest song in a cathedral in Moscow, will address the audience and thank the thousands of Amnesty supporters who helped free them through their activism.
Looks like it’s going to be an amazing show! We hope to see you there.
Tickets are on sale at Ticketmaster. More information on the upcoming concert can be found at http://www.amnestyusa.org/Feb5concert. Follow #AmnestyConcert for live updates.
